Paleontology and geologyNo Jurassic-age rocks have been positively identified in Missouri. However, some clays in the southeastern Ozarks contain fossils of a peculiar turtle whose shell was covered with little bead-like knobs. Such "beaded" turtles are more common in the Jurassic than in any other geologic time interval. |
